Senior QA Manager
We are seeking a Senior QA Manager with a proven track record of leading distributed QA teams and delivering high-quality products under tight, complex project timelines. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape a best-in-class QA function, influence product outcomes at a strategic level, and work on a diverse portfolio of projects—ranging from mission-critical enterprise systems to cutting-edge AI-driven automation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, mentor, and scale onshore and offshore QA teams across manual, automation, and performance testing disciplines.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across geographically distributed teams and time zones.
- Own hiring, onboarding, career development, and performance evaluations for QA personnel.
- Create tailored test strategies, test plans, and risk mitigation processes for diverse projects.
- Oversee simultaneous QA efforts, ensuring high quality under tight and shifting timelines.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines in partnership with DevOps and Engineering.
- Champion continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.
- Track, analyze, and present key quality metrics and KPIs—including release readiness, blockers, and risk status—to leadership and client stakeholders.
- Ensure timely updates and documentation that keep all stakeholders informed and aligned.
- Act as the primary liaison between QA, Product, Engineering, and external partners to maintain alignment and resolve issues quickly.
What You Bring
- 8+ years in QA, with at least 3 years in a senior management or leadership position.
- Proven success managing distributed teams across time zones and cultures.
- Deep expertise in manual testing, functional test automation, and performance testing.
- Strong experience with test management tools (e.g., QTest, Zephyr), automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Selenium), and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex QA concepts into clear, actionable insights.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to thrive under shifting priorities and deadlines.
It’s an Asset If You Have
- Experience modernizing legacy systems and implementing testing strategies for emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with AI/ML product testing.
- Background in regulated industries requiring compliance-focused QA processes.
- Prior experience establishing QA functions or scaling QA capabilities in high-growth environments.
